What is the Scholastic Book Fair?
- The Scholastic Book Fair is a fun pop-up bookstore that comes to our school! Students can browse and purchase a wide selection of age-appropriate books, posters, and small stationery items.
- Every book or item purchased earns books for our school library
When and where is the Book Fair?
- 19 – 23 October in the school hall.
Opening times:
- Monday - Friday 8.15am – 9.15am
- Monday – Friday 2.15pm – 3.15pm
How can my child buy books?
- With cash in person
- By EFTPOS in person
- Use a prepaid voucher
Will my child visit the Book Fair with their class?
- Yes, each class will visit the Book Fair during school hours.
- During this time, students can browse the books and create a personal wish list of items they’re interested in.
✨ Please note: The wish list is not an order form — it’s simply a guide to help families see what their child enjoyed. There’s absolutely no obligation to purchase anything.
How much are the books?
- Book prices vary, but most children’s books range from $5–$15, posters and stationery items range from $1 - $10.
- We suggest setting a budget ahead of time and reminding your child to bring any change home.
Can parents visit the Book Fair too?
- Absolutely! Parents, caregivers, and family members are welcome during designated open times. It’s a great way to shop for gifts or build your home library.
What happens if a book my child wants is sold out?
- No worries — we can often order it through Scholastic or online so your child doesn’t miss out. Please note: posters and stationery items cannot be reordered.
Are there books for all reading levels?
- Yes! The Book Fair offers books for all ages — from early readers to middle-grade and even young adult titles.
- A portion of every purchase goes directly back to the school to help fund new books.
- Your support truly makes a difference.
Can I help?
- Yes! We need to set up the book cases and table displays, assist with the sales desk,
- monitor inventory, pack up after the Fair.
- We’re seeking 4 volunteers for each morning
- and afternoon session.
- Talk to Clare in the P&C office (Uniform shop) or jump on Signup Zone to lock in a time that works for you.
