Book Week was a huge success this year. The theme, “Dreaming with Eyes Open” gave us the perfect opportunity to celebrate Australian authors and illustrators and let our imagination fly with lots of fun activities.
The Book Week parade continues to amaze me every year. From Prep to Year 6, including our teachers, the costumes were original, colourful and fun. A big thank you to the teachers who as always get involved in a big way. To all the parents who helped with costumes and to Library Leader helpers, Logan and Buddy another big thank you.
Congratulations to all the champion borrowers, announced on parade across the school and to Family I whom are the champion borrowing class this semester. Well done also to the winners of the colouring in competition. The winning shortlisted book, voted by the students this year was “Stellaphant”, by James Foley. A funny, inspirational story that shows that heroes come in all shapes and sizes.
