Writing Success in Years 1/2
Writing success across our Year 1/2 cohorts was evident this week, with students creating well-constructed stories about familiar characters. It has been wonderful to see their creativity, imagination and growing confidence on display.
Some students were also given the opportunity to call home and share their achievements through a positive principal phone call—what a special way to celebrate their hard work and success!
Great job, budding writers—keep up the fantastic effort!
March Money Madness Success
Our March Money Madness fundraiser has been a fantastic success! Thanks to the incredible efforts of our P&C and dedicated parent volunteers, the event ran smoothly and achieved a wonderful outcome for our school.
A big congratulations to Family I, who enjoyed a well-deserved pizza party for raising the most money—what a fantastic achievement!
We would also like to sincerely thank all of our families who participated and supported this fundraiser. Your contributions make a real difference, with all funds going directly towards supporting opportunities and resources for our students.
We truly appreciate the strength of our school community and the way everyone comes together to support our learners.
Snake Awareness and Safety
As we move through the warmer months, it’s important that we continue to stay vigilant about snake safety around our school.
We’re fortunate to have Darren—the best groundsman on planet Earth!—who is trained in snake identification and handling, helping us respond quickly and safely if needed.
We ask for your support in reinforcing safe behaviours with your children.
Some helpful tips include:
- Remind children to stay out of garden beds, long grass and bushy areas
- Encourage them to wear enclosed shoes to school
- Ensure they alert a teacher immediately if a snake is spotted
- Reinforce that they should never approach, touch or try to move a snake
Our priority is always the safety of every student. By working together and reinforcing these simple strategies, we can help keep everyone safe.
Thank you for your continued support.
