Chevallum State School entered our String Orchestra and Recorder Ensemble into the 2022 Fanfare held at Chancellor State College on Friday 27th May.
Both the Recorder Ensemble and String Orchestra had been very busy preparing and rehearsing leading up to the event.
A huge thank you to Mrs Russell and Ms Andersen for their dedication, commitment and organisation leading up to and during this prestigious musical event.
Fanfare is the biennial state-wide festival of bands and orchestras for Queensland state schools. This much-loved program provides high-profile performance opportunities and feedback through professional adjudication for school ensembles.
With the event and many other musical performance opportunities cancelled over the past few years, Fanfare was the perfect way for our students to experience a large audience beyond our school community whilst showcasing their musical talents on stage.
Musica Viva Performance
As part of our Music enrichment program, on Thursday 26 May, our Prep-Year 6 students were entertained and captivated by an interactive live performance of Davinci’s Apprentice by a culturally and musically diverse ensemble with some of Australia’s best musicians!
Musica Viva In Schools is an all-inclusive package that provides engaging music program for teachers and students.
