BOOK RETURNS
Thank you to all the families who returned overdue books to the Library before the Easter Holidays. Thank you for helping us to keep track of our Library books and keep them in good condition so everyone can enjoy and share stories.
SUNSHINE COAST LIBRARIES
Don’t forget that our local Sunshine Coast Council Libraries have many free activities for children over the holidays. They also have a wonderful selection of books for all ages and reading interests, so try a visit to your local council Library and relax with some great books for the whole family.
Also take the opportunity to visit the Story Seats dotted throughout some of our Council parks. Sunshine Coast Council has designed and constructed 10 innovative Story Seats, located in 10 of the Coast’s most stunning local parks, and have incorporated 10 fabulous illustrations from well-known books, into the seats’ designs.
These eye-catching pieces of art have been purpose-built to provide outdoor literacy experiences for families and offer spaces that actively encourage you to talk, read, sing and play with your child every day.
Congratulations
We would like to congratulate our Library Teacher Aide, Kerri Day on the success of her second Picture Book “Run Pups Run”, illustrated by Nicki Johnston. “Run Pups Run” was recently named a 2024 Notable Early Childhood Book by the Children’s Book Council of Australia Awards Committee. This is the second book Kerri has written which has been honoured in this way.
