Making Chevallum and the World a Cleaner Place
We are thrilled to share an exciting and impactful story from our recent school activities that perfectly aligns with our "Ocean Warriors" unit in the Middle Years curriculum.
As part of our commitment to environmental stewardship and community responsibility, our students embarked on a special mission to clean up our school grounds. What started as a simple initiative to keep our environment tidy quickly turned into an extraordinary learning experience.
During this clean-up project, our dedicated students collected an impressive 8.3 kilograms of rubbish from around the school. This effort not only contributed to a cleaner and more pleasant environment but also provided a real-world connection to our ongoing unit on ocean conservation and environmental care.
In our Family A,B,G and H curriculum, the "Ocean Warriors" unit explores the importance of protecting our oceans and the impact of pollution on marine life. By participating in this clean up, students have seen firsthand how littering affects our surroundings and the importance of taking responsibility for our environment.
We are incredibly proud of our students for their enthusiasm and commitment to making a positive impact. This experience has not only enhanced their understanding of environmental issues but has also inspired them to continue being "Ocean Warriors" in their everyday lives.
Recorder Concert
We are thrilled to share the wonderful success of our Middle Years Recorder Concert that took place last week! The event was a true celebration of our students' hard work and musical talent, and it left us all inspired and uplifted. Thank you, Ms Russell for all your tireless efforts to make our recorders “actually” sound fantastic.
Under the expert guidance of Ms Russell, our talented music teacher, the concert showcased the incredible progress our students have made this year. Each performance was a testament to their dedication, practice, and Ms. Russell's unwavering commitment to their musical development.
Lastly, I would like to acknowledge our incredible P&C who have been working so hard to make our Motiv8 Sports day on September 11th a success. Although I will be away, I am sure that all the students will have an amazing time.
