STRAWBFEST SEPTEMBER 8TH
During Term 2, many amazing people, including our amazing Family group class Reps, have been diligently working alongside our P&C laying the groundwork for the 2023 Strawbfest (our main school fundraiser for the year).
Strawbfest is a well-established annual event on the Sunshine Coast community calendar. Our 34th Strawbfest, 2023, will be the relaunch of this iconic event after three years of hiatus. Its success in terms of fundraising will enhance our educational outcomes at Chevallum State School as well as bringing together the wider community.
It is beyond miraculous that such a small community can stage such a quality night-time event of food, music, market stalls and entertainment for all ages, attracting crowds of over 5000 people.
Term 3 – the term of all things Strawbfest!!!
Term 3 is the time when we will be asking all of our community to come together to ensure the successful relaunch of Strawbfest 2023. Each family group will be assigned special tasks so there will be call outs for donations of time and goods across the term. Remember, volunteering and providing for the event will come in many shapes and sizes - all offers of help will be graciously accepted.
