The Chevallum SS Reconciliation Action Plan – RAP

Chevallum SS undertook to create a RAP as a way of our community to further contribute in a positive way to Reconciliation between indigenous Australians and Non-Indigenous Australians. The process of writing our RAP was undertaken by the RAP Working Group.

What is a RAP?

“A Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is a formal commitment to reconciliation.

It documents how your school or early learning service will strengthen relationships, respect and opportunities in the classroom, around the school/service and with the community.

Schools and early learning services can develop a RAP using the Narragunnawali platform to register and extend on existing initiatives, or to begin their reconciliation journeys.”

Our Vision

Our vision for reconciliation is a united community, working in partnership towards a compassionate future. We acknowledge and respect the richness and diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures, committing to being compassionate action takers.

We aim to support everyone to listen, learn, speak truth and take action with curiosity, clarity and connection. We believe that by authentically and respectfully integrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ ways of being and learning and cultures into our daily lives and learning environments, we can promote understanding, respect and give voice to all.

Please read more about out RAP in the document available on this page.
