​​​Our goal at Chevallum is for staff to deliver teaching practice of high quality focused on the achievement of every student within our school.  

 Strategies and Actions for achieving this goal encompass:-

  • Refining and embedding a school pedagogical framework, with a particular focus on consistency of practice across the school,  

  • Having high standards and expectations for all students. 

  • Ensuring teachers consistently provide regular and timely feedback to students in forms that make clear what actions individuals can take to make further learning progress. 

  • Continuing to focus on encouraging and supporting positive behaviour from students in the classroom and the playground through restorative practices.

  • Further development of a whole of school consistent approach to use of data which supports staff in informing their practice and leads to improved individual student outcomes.

  • Ensuring Philosophy for children and cooperative learning inform pedagogy

  • Ensuring Differentiation practises and Universal Design for Learning underpin our inclusive Prep and Multi-Age classrooms.
