Anzac Day Ceremony
For students, Anzac Day offers a unique opportunity for reflection, learning, and remembrance. It serves as a poignant reminder of the profound impact of war and conflict on individuals, families, and entire communities. Through stories, ceremonies, and symbols, students are encouraged to delve into the complexities of war, exploring themes of courage, sacrifice, resilience, and the enduring quest for peace.
Moreover, Anzac Day encourages students to consider the broader implications of war and conflict in a global context. Recently, we observed a remarkable Anzac ceremony, and I was deeply impressed by the students' reverence and attentiveness. Anzac Day has profoundly shaped the fabric of this remarkable nation, and I proudly declare myself "Canadian by birth and Australian by choice."
