Indigenous Art Works and Canberra Trip

The Indigenous Art Works on our new Prep Playground pathway is completed, sealed and ready to walk on!

Our school is proud to have local Gubi Gubbi artwork depicting Fugan, the rainbow serpent, a very important symbol in their culture. The rainbows you see, is Fugan jumping from waterhole to waterhole.

As an added fact, the main artist, Brent Miller, was the person who designed our Chevallum sport shirts’ indigenous symbols.

The upper school have returned from the Year 5 & 6, 2019 Canberra Excursion. By all accounts everyone had a very rewarding educational and social experience that will remain as part of their life-long learning.
A huge thank you to Mr T and Mrs Fisher for their yearlong preparation leading up to this event.
It is also important to acknowledge the wonderful support of our parents who had the courage and made the financial sacrifice to enable their child to participate.
Another huge thank you to the dedicated staff who chaperoned our students on this interstate excursion. Your efforts and support are very appreciated by all.
